Budget

It is important we have a basic idea of what you anticipate your budget will be for this project. Homeowners frequently are unaware of the many costs associated with construction materials, specialty designs and quality craftsmanship. With our careful planning assistance, we hope to give you a clear understanding of how your construction dollars are appropriated. We're always happy to answer your questions and address your concerns.

At Custom Carpentry Atlanta we make every effort to prevent unpleasant construction cost surprises during your project. Our contracts spell out in detail what it is your project includes. We'll never quote an attractive "lowball" price just to get your business, then suddenly charge "extra" during the course of the project for things that you thought were included ---but aren't. If you elect to make a change or upgrade during construction, we'll issue a written "change order" for your signature and authorization. This document will detail the changes to be made and any additional costs you may incur.

Once we have come to a contract agreement, we will never ask you for additional money to finish the project as proposed in your authorized floor plans. During our initial meeting we will discuss the amenities you may wish to include in your project, (e.g. special wood trim or other specialty items or custom construction requirements) your budget, and whether it's realistic for the size and scope of project you have in mind.

*IMPORTANT - The rapidly, and in some instances, weekly, escalating cost of materials now affecting builders nationwide, means we can only guarantee our written quote for 10 days after it has been submitted to you. Project agreements signed after that time may need to be re-estimated, and at additional cost.
